Seeking a Partner in   Life, Love, & the Land

As I enter this meaningful new chapter of life, I feel called to find someone who shares my values, dreams, and love for the Earth.

I’m seeking a life partner and co-visionary—someone who’s passionate about holistic health, simple living, spiritual growth, and perhaps even getting their hands a little dirty in the soil.

A few things about me:

WHO ARE YOU?

Hi, I’m John! You’ll find that I’m kind, gentle, respectful, intelligent, educated, passionate, driven, curious, open minded and reflective. I’m also affectionate, generous, healthy & active, creative, growth oriented, and socially & environmentally conscious.

Since I was very young, I have longed to be in a loving relationship of substance. In my mind’s eye, I can see myself with my lover. As we gaze into each other’s eyes, we both feel deeply relaxed and understood. In the stillness, we know that we are not only with each other, but also a part of a beautiful story. A story of love in which our lives are interwoven and as we peacefully look at each other, of which we know we are intimately part of. We shine as we weave our own threads in and out of this story, each amazed at the beautiful tapestry we create together in harmony with all creatures and beings here on the Earth. To me, this is the spirit of a loving relationship – a deep recognition of not only our relatedness to each other, but to all life.

My personality type is INFJ and I’m a HSP (highly sensitive person). Food/diet/health/fitness is a passion of mine and I’ve eaten a high-raw vegan diet for over 28 years. I want to create a conscious spiritual partnership with a woman who desires a life close to nature and is open to eventually living together on my homestead farm in rural Wisconsin, USA.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR
SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

As a child and teenager, I came to know the world as a scary, painful, and at times, traumatic place – a place in which I sometimes felt I didn’t belong. I loved nature and had a rich inner life but parental abuse and being picked on by my classmates and teachers for being different took its toll. After attempting twice to take my own life during my high school years, things started to shift. I started to intensely question everything I understood inside and outside of myself. After some time, the painful reality I knew began to fade and was replaced by a sense of expansion, excitement and exhilaration. Suddenly, I felt the urge to begin writing. Realizations about myself, others, and life began to flood in. Concepts and principals I had never heard of before but would later read in spiritual growth books began to pour into my heart and mind. As they entered my consciousness, I wrote and wrote. I came to understand my incredibly intimate connection to all life. I realized I was not separate in any way from the living things around me. I started to understand the nature of suffering in humanity – the suffering in separating oneself from these realities. I came to see god, the universe, and love as one beautiful singular force. I came to know true love inside me for the first time and knew I wanted to dedicate my life to being an instrument of this love in some way. My healing journey which ensued after was guided by this love. I started to intentionally do things that frightened me but knew were necessary to heal. I started to share my inner experience with individuals and in groups, attending many therapy sessions and personal growth workshops. In taking full responsibly for my life and healing, guided by the love I know inside, I’ve been able to move past limitation to freedom lightyears beyond the suffering I once knew. I also know however there is much more untapped potential inside. I love my role as a student of life and know I’ll hold this title until my last breath.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SPIRITUALITY?

I am spiritual but not religious and grounded in science. I also do not subscribe to most new age ideologies. In my mind, physics, mathematics and evolution blend perfectly with spirituality. To me, god is the invisible force of the universe that gives rise to all forms of life. I believe that all beings are intimately related and this is cause for celebration and compassion. I believe emotional awareness and conscious choice is the fuel that propels us forward towards deeper understanding of ourselves and all beings. I am interested in the practical aspects of spirituality such as cultivating a connection with others that I feel in my body, opening my heart and practicing kindness. I have little interest in studying teachings or teachers except for any inspiration I receive from them to touch my own heart more deeply in daily life. The kind of spirituality that I resonate with is characterized by questions like, how open can I practice being with a stranger I just met? What is the most real thing I can communicate right now? What needs to be communicated so I can feel love for my partner again? What am I grateful for today? How is it that I fit into this web of life I am a part of? I have done a lot of personal growth work and have read many spiritual books but came to realize that when I am quiet enough…. everything is there…inside of me. I only need to listen and learn from that voice. I believe whether or not we are aware, the ultimate intention every human has is to find love in its purest form, inside of ourselves. When we do this together, we create magic.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR professional life and homestead

About 17 years ago I founded an IT services company in the San Francisco Bay area that I’ve grown to 15 employees and now operate remotely. A few years ago, I moved from California back to Wisconsin (USA) where I grew up to take care of my aging parents and manage our family organic farm homestead. I built a beautiful home on the property where I operate my business, manage this homestead, and support my elderly mother (my father passed away this past year). I have a wonderful setup for homestead life including all the required tools, backup power, high speed internet, a walk-in cooler for vegetable storage, commercial kitchen, indoor garden space for microgreens and seed starts, and 12 acres of fertile land. I manage several acres of gardens (4 gardens in all) and grow many crops including melons, squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, and many leafy green vegetables. The home I recently built has a large deck with a wood fired hot tub and fire pit, an indoor sauna, and Scandinavian modern design. We also have a nicely outfitted gym on the property.

On our farm together, I envision becoming one with the timeless wisdom of nature and in so doing, deepening our love for each other. We sow the seeds in the Spring, nurture the seedlings throughout the Summer, and receive the gift of nourishment they give us. As we care for the land and nature around us, we build strength, health and vitality. We enjoy many lovingly prepared farm to table meals together and tender moments of intimacy. In the evening we enjoy healthy drinks by the fire as we take in the stars and calls of the owls. We spend many moments in the delicate dance of affection, expressing our love through touch and conscious love making. We enjoy time sweating and cleansing our bodies in the sauna or quiet moments relaxing in the hot tub, enchanted by the smell and crackle of burning firewood, heating the water. This is part of my vision for a shared homestead life, but I want to co-create a life together. What’s your vision?

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR IN A PARTNER?

I want to create a relationship with an authentic, healthy, kind and heart-centered woman. I am open to the relationship lasting as little as a year or less to as long as the rest of my life – as long as it is right and serving us both. The kind of relationship I wish to be in is one based on joy, play, laughter, sensuality, and taking full responsibility for ourselves as we grow together. I am also looking for someone to join me to help manage this 12 acre homestead together. I want to share this home and land with my partner, to take equal responsibility, and to make all that we have and create here together, “ours” to enjoy. While I am looking for an equal partner, I do not expect the ways in which we contribute to our home and relationship to look the same. I don’t for example necessarily need that contribution to be financial as I have enough resources to support my partner and I. I am simply looking for a partnership in which we’re both passionate about supporting each other and contributing to our relationship and livelihood in our own way, whatever that looks like.

WHAT ARE SOME ACTIVITES YOU ENJOY WITH A PARTNER

WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?

Hands-on Skills: I’m naturally artistic and can build or repair just about anything. I’m also a good cook and give a great massage.

Empathy: I am good at helping others through emotional struggles and make an effort to understand what life is like in their shoes.

Communication: I am a usually very clear and articulate communicator, unless I feel nervous. I also write poetry.

Connecting: I naturally am good at creating a safe space for others to feel comfortable around me.

Making people feel appreciated: I was picked on as a kid so I have a very soft spot in my heart for making sure people feel loved.

Generosity: I love to give often. Giving makes me happy.

Touch & Affection: It is fundamentally human to want to touch and be touched. Communicating love through touch is a joy beyond words.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR CHALLENGES?

I struggle with PTSD from childhood trauma and as a part of that, anxiety and depression. I’ve also struggled with chronic low self-esteem for most of my life. I’ve done personal growth work and therapy for many years and have healed a lot but these challenges are still there to some degree and part of my reality. As a HSP (highly sensitive person) it’s difficult for me to be around groups of people for long periods of time as I become emotionally overwhelmed. I enjoy life most in quieter environments close to nature and one on one relationships with a partner.

Is There Anything Else You Want To Share?

I am not a conspiracy theorist and do not subscribe to the ideas of most fringe thinkers. I have a fundament trust in humanity and while I acknowledge that there is certainly a lot of corruption in our systems of government and plenty of bad actors out there, I believe that the vast majority of people are  trustworthy, honest, and want to do the right thing.

I love animals (we had a beautiful German Shepard dog living outdoors growing up) but due to my HSP nature, I’m unable to live with indoor dogs or cats.

Connect With Me!

If you’re someone who dreams of love, purpose, and shared mission, I’d love to connect.
